Are there days when you just cannot get out of bed? The majority of college students can agree with you almost every day. Kicking those covers off and leaving your warm bed can be one of the hardest things you will mentally do for that day but it is a necessary thing. As much as we may like to sleep in all day, or even just skip a few classes, this is where discipline comes in. You may not want to wake up to go to class but if you want to succeed, you are going to have to do exactly that. One trick that I use to get up is to just not think about it and just do it. It sounds exactly like how it means. A simple action without thought will shock your mind enough where you will catch yourself off guard without even thinking about it. For example, if you were lying in bed and your alarm goes off, hit the snooze, jump out of bed, and go straight to the sink without even thinking about any of it. All of these actions should be done as quickly as possible to avoid giving your brain a chance to react and think about what you just did. Not only does this trick work, but if you consistently do it, you will be disciplining yourself on always being on time.
